Of course you do, we all do. No matter what the current situation is.
One intensely, passionately, maybe just a little sadly remembers the times spent with someone where it all started. Whether he’s still by your side or just a memory it causes a sweet ache in your heart when you think about the person. It wouldn’t be wrong for me to say they are treasured parts of their lives.
After so many years, just thinking and reminiscing about our first loves seem to send our hearts a-flutter. It is that unexplainable thing about our first loves that grips our imaginations, even after so many years past the fact? Whatever the cause and whoever it was, the one we first loved seems to be a permanent part of our consciousness, mind and soul. We can’t forget that person -and who would want to? He will be always etched onto your memory like it was only yesterday,” It has been so many years, but you will still always remember what he looked like and how much you loved him. Even if that isn’t the case on the present day, To this day, when you feel a little melancholy, you will find myself remembering the person’s touch. You always find yourself going back to whatever the person had done for you and his experiences linger through your mind somehow, somewhere.
What is however important is to move on in life and you probably might have, ultimately having settled down with the ‘the one’ but to completely erase the person who once made you start believing in the concept of love and gave you memories to cherish for a lifetime is tough.

A part that you won’t have to ever share with anybody else. Your very first love.
