Leather: A killer

Fashion is a distinctive style in which a person dresses and carries himself. It helps us to show who we are and depict our personality. The most representative trend is wearing the latest and getting things which are considered to be fashionable. People buy leather jackets and fur bags to look hip and grasp attention. Original leather and fur apparels are pricey and one definitely looks distinctive from the crowd!

But is it really worth the price you pay? Well it does have value for money appearance but what goes behind the making of these apparels and accessories is definitely shameful.Leather can be made from cows, pigs, goats, and sheep as well as exotic animals such as alligators, ostriches, and kangaroos. These animals are mercilessly slaughtered to satisfy our fashion needs. The inhuman cruelty which these animals go through is unimaginable pushing them towards extinction.

Why this happens? Because we try to satisfy our fashion urge by buying their processed dead skin!|
Is our fashion more important than someone’s life? Would you like fellow humans getting slaughtered to make these over expensive fashion accessories? The answer would definitely be NO. Than why such discrimination towards animals? Animals have equal rights to live on this earth peacefully.Leather accessories can easily be substituted by other biodegradable material like Khaadi, jute which are equally exotic and distinctive.
Why buy something which gives pain to other living being as Fashion keeps changing every day!
