Jealousy Is Earned While Sympathy Is Freely Available
Jealousy comes from insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something of great personal value. To create this feeling among others one needs to be worthy enough. Jealousy never comes for free. What comes for free is Sympathy, which comes out as a perception for the need of another human being. Jealousy demands a lot of effort while sympathy can easily be showered upon you.
Jealousy comes when you achieve something that is desired by many, while sympathy comes when you can’t achieve anything. Aamir khan said in his movie 3-Idiots that “agar dost fail ho jaye to bura lagta hai par agar Dost top kar jaye to aur bhi bura lagta hai.” Our point gets proved here automatically, that when you achieve something big people will jealous of you, that’s a human nature.
One must never feel about why people are getting jealous of him/her because what we feel is a matter of pride. The more successful you are, the more haters/jealous people you’ll have. In other language Jealousy is the SI unit of your success.
And to all those who Are happy to have many people around them who are so called “spreading Love” on you (which is actually sympathy, not love) it’s a request to please buck-up. It’s high time that you stand on your feet instead of bragging your problems or say incapability in front of others. People might show you sympathy for sometime but it’s not going to last forever.
The flip face of the statement Jealousy is earned while sympathy is freely available is somehow different too. These days’ people do efforts to gain Sympathy as well. Sympathy is making them earn something they desire. Most of us might have come across someone who made up sympathetic stories in order gain something from us. Remember that person who rang your bell crying, helpless asking you to donate money for his daughter’s wedding…how about it if I say he did not had any daughter. All he did is to create sympathy to gain some money from you?
Similarly, sympathy can be created falsely by a politician to gain sympathy votes, a participant of XYZ show to win the game, an employee to earn a holiday, a Boss to get an extra work done. But, when it comes to Jealousy, it can’t be created. Even for once, you may create false stories to make people jealous of you but you can’t keep it alive for long. Which we are sure is not going to fetch you any good reputation afterwards.
So now it’s up to you that what you want. Do you want to be so successful that people starts getting jealous/envious of you or you simply want to grab the attention of the pity eyes in order to gain their sympathy?
