Child labor a wing slayer.
Poverty and lack of social security are the main causes of child labour. As the gap of the rich and poor continues to increase, the families under the poverty line are forced to use the young hands to satisfy the basic needs.
The basic services are privatized making it more difficult to monitor the use of children for services. The neo-liberal economic i.e reductions in government spending in order to enhance the role of the private sector in the economy are the major causes which pushes people toward unemployment. Unemployment creates depression, and children have to suffer the most as they have to sacrifice there childhood to support there families.
The introduction of multi-national corporation without proper monitoring to hold them accountable leads to use of children as labors.Early need of earning, leads to lack of education keeping them deprived from quality education and they have to spend all there life as a worker. Lack of education also contributes to children dropping out of school at a young age and forced to enter the labour force.
The chotu on a tea stall, to the kid trying to sell something on the signal, every child that struggling to survive is a victim of child labor. There are policies to take care of such situations but as we still see children working that clearly proves the inefficiency of the government.
A major concern is that the actual number of child laborers goes un-detected. Even the health of such children is neglected. They are often treated as just a source of labor and that boiling rage inside has a mental effect on the long run.
