A Social Issue- Now National
“ Yet another minor raped by her relatives”.
I read the headlines of the morning newspaper and almost instantly cringe. As I go through the paper, I find a minimum of 3 similar and highly unfortunate cases in almost every part of our country. I can almost feel anger building inside of me, now. The anger that our country has been recently so expressive about, but to no avail. You think to yourself, at some point, this has got to stop. A man has to learn ,if by the hard way, that a women has every right over the cloth she chooses to wear, whenever she wants to, however she wants to. Someone needs to pass a bill/rule or whatever they call in our government full of illiterate, orthodox ministers that severely punishes such men. Such men who rape their own daughter. Such men who rape their own girlfriends/wive/sister/relatives. Such men who come together and disgustingly thrust their genitals into the body of a female, who will probably be looked down for all her life, because she asked for it. Such demonstration of power is highly unacceptable, and someone needs to tell them. It’s been quite a few years since our independence now.
Someone needs to stand up, and do it. For all the women, and all the men out there.
