Do we actually need our government to tell us to keep our city clean?
No. In a day and age where technology has surpassed everyone and everything, and each one of us is very much capable of making decisions on our own, regarding what’s best for us, looking at its advantages and disadvantages, why not for our country?
Do we really need our government to tell us to keep our city, the place we reside in, the place which we are currently citizens of, the place that makes up our home, do we really need someone to tell us to keep it clean? Can’t we by ourselves? When are we going to comprehend the simple fact of keep one’s home clean and if our government needs to tell such easy, simple facts where are we going with this?
We should understand that cleanliness begins with us and we being the citizens if the city we are a part of, need to start cleaning it not only for the sake of it but because we are indebted to it. We owe it to our cities for giving us place to stay. We owe it to them for helping us attain a shelter when there are many who are not as fortunate. After being provided with so much love and care by this society that satisfies so many of our needs, we have a moral obligation towards it to keep it clean and safe. Clean because the dust, dirt and waste items that it consists of are the same items that it provided to us and were disposed by us after the use, without giving it a second thought. Without giving the fact that the nature and environment that we are polluting by disposing of waste materials, we are only causing more harm to ourselves and no one else. This is precisely why we should be cautious of the things we do, the things we throw, the things we aren’t careful about because it might all just come back to us, and we don’t need a government whose job is to make rules for us to to explain this to you.
We need to understand this ourselves, we have been given too many hints already.
