20 Ridiculous Traditions and its called Sanskaar.

1. Touching feet of elders.
Let’s face it. Most of us don’t really do this with as much respect that is intended to, and simple just for the sake of it.

2. Marry a person of your parents choice.
Because arranged marriage is tradition in some families and to break it would break the tradition of following sanskaar blindly. Hence let me get married to someone I don’t like simply because I have to.

3. Not curse someone who deserve to be.
Because our sanskaar is against the use of cuss words.

4. A man will have to GO OUT to work even if he is earning good working from home.
“GHAR KA MARD GHAR ME HI RAHE TOH LOG KYA KAHENGE”

5. The thread ceremony of the child after which there are many rituals to be performed by the child.

6. The ceremony that is performed first when the conception signs are first seen and will be performed by someone who desires a male child.

7. A ceremony where the hair of a mother who is expecting are parted to keep her spirits high. This is like a positive thing where special music is also arranged for her.

8. This is the enthusiastic prayer for a child. This is done for fulfillment of parental duty to continue the race. This sanskar is limited to the family members. This is performed by husband.

9. According to our ancient Shastras, there is a ritual performed in the desire for a male child.
The reason for expecting male child is believed to be in the belief that it is the male child who carries the Vansha forward.

10. The last rites that are to be done after an individual’s death.

11. A sanyasi who renounces the world and leads a life of study and meditation by living on alms.

12. There also is a sanskar that is the entry into the second Ashram. The life as an individual family begins.
Entering this stage of life, man has to take on his duties and has to pay spiritual debts by sacrifice , by procreating children and study. The bride and groom walks around Agni hand in hand. The bride sacrifices grains in the fire and chants mantras.

13. A sanskaar where cuda that also means lock or tuft of hair that is kept after the remaining part is shaved off.

14.Girls are not allowed to work as to earn money and support her family as tradition says its the job of a MAN .

15. The Sanskaar that is performed on sixth month , when the child gets solid food for the first time. Mantras recited and oblations are offered to the various deities.

16. There is a Sanskar that is performed on the tenth , eleventh or twelth day with recitation of Mantras. The baby child gets name on completion of this Sankar.

17. his Sanskar is performed at the birth of a child as a welcome sign to the new born child into the family.

18. The Sanskar that is performed when the child is taken out of the home for the first time.The reason for this Sanskar is to show obedience to the sun, moon, fire, wind etc, -the Panchmahabhoot .This is supposed to enhance the age and physical and mental development of the child.

19. Women must always eat after serving the men.

20. Accidently we stomp on someone or our feet touches someone else then we must touch him and then touch our forehead as every human has GOD in him
Why cant we just say SORRY?

THANK GOD MOST OF THEM IS NOT SEEN OR WE ARE NOT MADE TO FOLLOW IN URBAN AREAS BUT PEOPLE DO FOLLOW IN VILLAGES.
