19 things due to which we feel proud to be an Indian
1. Indian cricket team.
It’s no surprise that Indian cricket has been very influential over the game since decades now and there’s hardly anybody who hasn’t heard of Sachin tendulkar, and everyone who hasn’t is criticised, therefore our team and all previous teams that have made us so proud are a good reason to be proud of our country.
2. Music.
Before AR Rahman at the oscars there have been artists collaborating with big bands like the Beatles, etc. everyone had always viewed Indian music as an inspiration and many have been known to be fond of it.p, so why not us ourselves?
3. Harmony.
India is a country of so many different things/people scattered all around everywhere but amidst all of that, we have somewhere learnt to live in harmony and are doingwel at it.
4. Culture.
There are so many Indian cultures that we have ourselves lost count. Therefore, such varying cultures have given us a reason to be a proud of our motherland.
5. Cuisine.
Indian cuisines range from spicy to sweet that have known to be people’s favourites since a long time now. For most people around the world, indian cuisine is something different and unique that has been a part of their diet at some point having loved it giving us another reason to love our country for such tasty dishes as well.
6. Bollywood.
Who doesn’t love some Bollywood? Only second to Hollywood, this has connected people from all over the world to India, and how! Our films have reached the corners of the continents and are appreciated for the same. Time to dance on a Bollywood track with joy.
7. Aryabhatta.
The one person who invented what has been one of the most significant invention in math, the number 0, how can we not be proud of the fact that he is an Indian?
8. Taj Mahal.
One of the 7 wonders of the world, with its brilliant architecture and history, the world loves it, we love it. So proud.
9. Mahatma Gandhi.
The person who changed the course of Indian history just by words, the person whom the west have themselves known to look up to, known to admire and still do, a person who has led the freedom struggle from front, every time we look at that note, we must be proud.
10. Polio free nation..
WHO’s declaration of India as a polio free nation gave us another reason to rejoice, and to be extremely proud of.
11. Weddings.
Anybody who has never been to an Indian wedding in his life has surely missed out on something, and we know this best. Weddings are as important to us as the marriage itself and we make sure to make the most of them.
12. Amitabh bachchan.
The brilliant actor is known worldwide for his portrayal of different chapters on the screen and gives us a reason to be proud of our country, since he has made it so proud.
13. Aircraft carrier vikrant.
The country is a proud owner of INS Vikrant, its first 40,000-tonne aircraft carrier.
14. Designers.
Indian designers have known made a healthy reputation for themselves styling various prominent people from all over the world and give us yet another reason to be proud of their achievements in the styling business.
15. Women.
Indian women are known to be very beautiful and people from all over the world have been known to be smitten by some at least. We too, should respect our women for being so strong, Independent and gorgeous and be proud of them.
16. Holy places.
Our holy places of worship have been known to be of various kinds and each one is a different, new, enthralling experience on its own which gives us a reason to be very, very proud of their existence.
17. Scientists, doctors, engineers, etc.
It is no surprise that in each of the above, many people have known to be doing well in so many parts of the world, that every time we open the newspapers or read about them on the internet, it’s only suffice to be proud and respect them for this.
18. Mars!
We have now reached mars, that is, our satellite has, and might I add, we are the first country to do so in the first attempt itself. At a very low budget, we have set an example in the world to the world, for the world.
19. Modi.
Narendra Modi, the enthusiastic prime minister of our country has given us much to be proud about in just months of his leadership over the country and years over his state. It’s a good thing wehave such an eminent personality who is so widely known and respected for representing our nation as a whole.
