11 things that happen when you turn 18
1. You believe you’re adult.
Naturally, you’re 18 now. So you’re an adult and therefore, this feeling of being a bigger person than you earlier were creeps in and this is why you look forward to turn 18 in the first place.
2. You feel responsible.
So sometimes, when a person turns 18, he/she also turns more responsible. The person realizes that this is the time when he should become mature and start handling things or situations a little more responsibly and does the same.
3. Try a new thing.
When someone turns 18, he/she also celebrates it by doing or planning to do something that he/she hasn’t tried before. This is because turning 18 seems like an age where you are finally, legally an adult and so you do something that you haven’t earlier.
4. Stop listening to your parents.
“Hey, I’m 18 now, I don’t need to listen to anyone anymore. And since I’m now officially an adult, I can do exactly what I feel like and what I want to so mom, dad, please stop telling me what to do or what not to, I know it, I’ll figure it out.”
5. You feel like you’ve changed.
18 is a magical number or at least it is considered to be so for those who’ve just completed it. So once you turn 18, it feels like a part of your life or the more childish part has come to an end and toy have now changed or evolved from how you were all those years, for the better.
6. Need to earn.
Once turning 18, what definitely creeps in is the feeling or the urge to earn money, which is why after reaching this golden age, most individual has a need to earn and fulfill his desires and wishes on his own.
7. You want to roam the world.
For most people, its after turning 18 that your life kind of gets a headstart that you have been waiting for. So its only after turning 18 that you have the desire to travel extensively around the world and explore new places, as also discover and be a part of new things.
8. Want to study abroad.
With turning 18 also starts the beginning of college and therefore the feel to get out of where you have remained for so long is evident. Teens want to experience the life of a teenager of their exact age but in a completely different place and therefore will put forward their wish to do so.
9. Want your parents to stop calling you a kid.
“I’m 18, don’t call me a kid.” This could also have to do with one’s ego, self confidence and respect. 10. Start dressing your age.
Till 18, sometimes you might have been shabby, unorganized or even untidy at tines but once you turn 18, the feeling of being well dressed to turn up well at any event because now people will recognize you as an adult and therefore that also means you have to dress as one or at least look like one even if you don’t feel like it.
11. You make big career plans.
Even if you weren’t ever sure about what you were going to do in your life, you will now be. You might not do what you are not considering but after turning 18, you might start thinking about everything that you need to do in your life and turning 18 is just God’s way of reminding you that you need to start, and now.
